		<description><![CDATA[Recently Ron Hawkes Photography unveiled a new photo web site from PhotoShelter that I really liked the looks of and the ease of operation from the back end. However the platform is not really suited for the type of photo sales I do and I could not give my customers the offers I wanted to, was limited in product and overall was not doing what I had hoped to accomplish. So the search started a new and what I ended up doing is going back to what I always thought was the best looking photo hosting company, they just used to have terrible customer service when I was with them in the past. The company is Zenfolio and I am quite happy with the new programs they offer as well as the new products, new features and they have become a full photographers web site with this blog included. Now when customers come to ronhawkesphotography.zenfolio.com everything will be in one location and you will only leave the site when you choose to. 		<description><![CDATA[THOMASTON &#8211; Every Thursday night from 7-10 p.m. the Highlands Coffee House and Adam Williams open up the restaurant for three + hours of music performed by amateur to professional musicians for an Open Mic night that usually fills the Highlands with music loving fans. This past Thursday was a very solid lineup of local musicians that also had many of the performers working with other performers. Click here for the photo gallery from Thursday night April 4. From old English standards, folk, country, rock, blues, you name it and someone performing probably plays it. There is not a cover at the Highlands, the food is outstanding. The service is provided by one of the friendliest staffs I have seen around. Every week is a little of the same and always a little new. Come check out the fun. You will not be sorry. Great music, great location and very friendly people, what more can anyone ask for. The Highlands is located on Maine St. (Route 1) in downtown Thomaston.
